On Saturday, February 12th, we’re hosting The Fionnghal Celtic Trio in our tasting room! Music starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. Cover charge is $10 per person plus a canned food or cash donation for our local food bank!
Since its inception in early 2021 to perform for Emerson Vineyards’ Women’s Music Weekend, Fionnghal has developed a sound that expresses a wide range of Celtic inspired music.
On the violin, Erika Nagamoto has a musical history that started at age 4. Currently playing with the OSU Symphony as well as with Fionnghal, she brings a musicality that can be heard in expressive slow aires and waltzes as well as technically challenging fast reels and jigs.
Beth Brown on cello and whistles/flute has enjoyed playing Celtic music in various bands in Corvallis for the past 15 years. She became inspired by Celtic cellist Natalie Haas to incorporate rhythmic chops and grooves into the music along with the lyrical lines she creates with Erika.
Marjorie Sandor plays rhythm guitar in the alternate tuning called DADGAD, and has been fortunate enough to study with some of the finest contemporary Celtic guitarists in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Her rhythmic sensibilities and chord choices add much depth to Fionnghal’s sound.
Together, this trio explores tunes and sounds that you might not expect from Celtic music.
We’re very excited to have them back!
As of right now our food trucks are unavailable. We hope to have them back for late spring, and of course summer music. Please feel free to bring your own picnic dinner!
Because our winter music series is indoors, we have a maximum indoor capacity of 50 people. Please give us a call, or use the button above to make a reservation!
