2007 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
Polished and shimmering in the glass, Emerson Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a saturated vermilion color. The aromas from this bottling are generous and round, offering caneberry and fresh strawberry supported by nuanced vanilla and toast character.
A taste reveals a supple, caressing mouth feel with intense, layered flavors of black cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and plum. Subtle leafy earthiness and muted oak character play against food-friendly acidity and fine-grained tannins to round out the flavor profile. Lovely by itself, or try with roast fowl, mushroom and chevre pizza, or pasta with cream sauce.
