2006 Lodi Syrah

Deeply extracted, Emerson Vineyards Syrah is an inky garnet color. This bottling features aromas of plum, blackberry, cassis, and white pepper, with a floral, perfumy overlay. A taste reveals a concentrated, full wine in which brambly berry and cassis flavors contrast with peppery, smoky notes. The long, balanced, fruitdriven finish is bracketed by moderate tannins, balanced
acidity, and hints of tobacco. Try with pizza, ribs, or spicy curries.
